No. All messages, calls, and media are end-to-end encrypted using the Signal Protocol. Your keys never leave your device, so we have no ability to decrypt your data — and we keep the metadata our infrastructure handles to the minimum required to route your messages.
Yes. Voice and video calls run over WebRTC with end-to-end encryption, and the media stream is negotiated peer-to-peer. Our servers only help the two devices find each other — they never see the call contents.
Through proven, open cryptography. We implement the Signal Protocol's X3DH key agreement and Double Ratchet — public, peer-reviewed designs — using modern, widely-audited cryptographic primitives (X25519, Ed25519, HKDF, AES-GCM). Your keys are generated and stay on your device; we never hold them, so we cannot decrypt your messages. This is the same peer-reviewed foundation trusted by Signal — DM NATIVE uses X3DH key agreement and the Double Ratchet today, with a planned move to post-quantum (PQXDH) on our roadmap. Optional AI features (translation, reply suggestions) are different by nature: when you invoke one, that specific text is processed transiently at the network edge — see our Privacy Policy for exactly how.
Yes. DM NATIVE is a free private messenger with no subscription and no ads. End-to-end encrypted messaging, voice and video calls, and media sharing are all included at no cost.
No. There are no ads and your data is never sold. The app ships without advertising or tracking SDKs, and usage analytics are off by default — a private messenger shouldn't depend on monetising your conversations.
Yes. You can link the secure web app to your phone and keep chatting across devices. Each linked device holds its own encryption keys, so every message stays end-to-end encrypted no matter where you read it.
Your message history and media stay on your own devices, not on our servers. The infrastructure handles only the minimum needed to deliver encrypted messages between devices, and it cannot read their contents.
No. Contact discovery is built to reveal as little as possible: identifiers are hashed before they are ever checked, so the service can only match people you already know instead of uploading your address book in the clear.
You can set messages to delete themselves after a time you choose. The expiry is enforced on every device in the conversation, so the message disappears at the same moment for everyone in the chat.
